James M. Stevens is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and a Master’s Degree in Geography.  Although he has interests in the Geography of Latin America, Biogeography, Cultural Ecology, and several other areas, he considers himself to be a “Generalist.”   Away from academia, his interests include growing Tall Bearded Iris, hiking, backpacking, and travel.  He is currently teaching the course “Fundamentals of Geography,” a natural fit for his academic interests, at Northeastern State University.
