Dr. Langsam arrived at Northeastern State University in August of 2000. His area of expertise is crime and deviance. His areas of specialization include corrections, criminological theory, juvenile delinquency, and consensual crime. He earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice (corrections) from the University of North Texas in 1988. He then went on to gain a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on corrections and rehabilitation. From there, Dr. Langsam studied five years at the largest criminal justice educating facility in the world. It is located in Huntsville, Texas and is called the George John Beto School of Criminal Justice. Upon completion of 36 doctoral hours in criminology, multivariate statistics, police administration and management, law, and research methods, Dr. Langsam returned home to his alma mater where he earned a full doctoral education in Sociology.
