Ande Kidanemariam received his B.A. in Social Work from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia); M.A. degree in Sociology from Michigan State University, and his Ph.D. degree in Sociology from the University of Kentucky.
Dr Kidanemariam’s area of expertise is medical sociology. His research interests include comparative health systems, political economy of health (with special emphasis on infant mortality) and the globalization of health and disease. His most recent book is on Comparative Study of Infant mortality in Four Developing Countries.
Dr. Kidanemariam is the program coordinator of the Health Care Administration Program - a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary program within the Department of Social Sciences.
