Jennifer Edwards received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Stanislaus, a Master’s degree in Criminology from Fresno State, and a Ph.D in Sociology from Oklahoma State University. Upon completion of her course work at OSU, Dr. Edwards spent a year at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she taught various sociology and criminal justice courses, as well as participating as a consultant in a community sentencing program. She joined the faculty at Northeastern State University in August, 2003. Dr. Edwards’ teaching interests include social psychology, research methods, social problems, and social stratification. Her research interests include investigating the relationship between ritual and power. Currently, she is working on two studies examining the use of power by the Orange Order in Northern Ireland.
