Bill Corbett joined the faculty at NSU in the fall of 1988. Prior to coming to Northeastern he taught for 8 years at Northern Oklahoma College. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Dr. Corbett received his B.S. degree from Clarion State College in Pennsylvania, his M.A. from the University of South Dakota, and his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. He has written 1 book, and published journal and encyclopedia articles, as well as book reviews. Dr. Corbett is a frequent speaker at Let's Talk About It and Territorial Speakers programs. Since 1994, Dr. Corbett has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Historical Society. Undergraduate research projects directed by Dr. Corbett have received awards at the Oklahoma Regional Conference of Phi Alpha Theta and have been selected for the Outstanding Scholar Award from the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Corbett's area of interest is regional and state history.
