How to Qualify
The SIFE Service Leadership Award has replaced the Certified SIFE Scholar program. To qualify for this annual award, applicants must fulfill the following criteria during the academic year in which they are applying:
Be an active member of a SIFE Team
Have registered as an official SIFE student participant at www.sife.org
Completed 100 hours of service through participation in SIFE activities
SIFE students recognized as Service Leadership Award winners will receive:
A designation in their on-line SIFE profile
A letter from the executive committee of the SIFE Board of Directors
A certificate recognizing their accomplishment
Presidential Recognition
Recipients of the SIFE Service Leadership
Award will also have met the qualifications necessary to receive the
President's Student Service Award.
This awards program is a White House Initiative, sponsored by the
Corporation for National and Community Service.
SIFE World Headquarters will automatically process an application, on
behalf of all SIFE students who earn a SIFE Service Leadership Award, to
be recognized with a President's Student Service Award. Through this
program, SIFE students will also receive:
A certificate signed by President of the United States of America
A gold lapel pin
Please remember that the SIFE Service
Leadership Award is presented on an annual basis to recognize
service accomplished during the course of one academic year.
You will need to reapply each year you have met the award
qualifications and wish to be recognized for your service during
that year.
How to Apply Online
You must be a registered SIFE student to apply for the SIFE Service Leadership Award.
Step 1. Log on to www.sife.org and
select Member LogOn to view your profile.
Step 2. Select Service Leadership Award, complete the form and
choose Apply.
Step 3. An email from SIFE World Headquarters will be sent to your
