From the book of Proverbs, written by King Solomon, who
was known as the wisest man who ever lived.

Lazy hands make a man poor, but dilligent hands bring wealth. (10:4)

The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out. (10:9)

When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. (10:19)

For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. (11:14)

Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. (11:22)

He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it. (11:27)

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (12:1)

The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. (12:15)

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult. (12:16)

A man's riches may ransom his life, but a poor man hears no threat. (13:8)

He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. (13:20)

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. (14:1)

A simple man believes anythings, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps. (14:15)

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. (14:23)

If you fnd honey, eat just enough--too much of it, and you will vomit. (25:16)
