- Women in Optometry (WIO)
Women
In Optometry provides an opportunity for all women optometry students to
get to know each other and to socialize with one another. The organization
sponsors fund-raising events to support the Women In Optometry scholarship
fund. The money raised for the scholarship is maintained in an investment
account at the Northeastern State University Foundation. Each year,
the interest from the account is awarded to one or two women students enrolled
at NSUOCO.

- Fellowship of Christian Optometrists
FCO is a recent international organization added to the NSUOCO campus, which is primarily student-driven. Meetings are held at the NSUOCO building one to two times a month, where students can share prayer requests and pursue a greater understanding of Christianity through discussion, videos and bible study. This organization is a wonderful opportunity for optometry students to strengthen their spiritual life and gain a better understanding of how their future career can best serve others through God's will.
