2 credit hours.  Intended for future elementary classroom teachers, this course is designed to prepare the students to be able to integrate music into their daily classroom instruction.  Students develop and teach a series of lesson plans that integrate music in the elementary classroom; prepare a notebook of teaching materials and resources for using music in the elementary classroom; sing, dance to, and recognize a basic repertoire of songs for use in the elementary classroom; and develop basic skills with the recorder.
