MUS 3732: Elementary Music Methods
Course Description
2 credit hours.  Intended for future music teachers, this course is designed to prepare the students to teach music at the elementary school level.  Students develop and share a series of lesson plans that involve elementary school students in music learning; prepare a notebook of teaching materials and resources for elementary level music; sing and recognize a basic repertoire of songs for use in the elementary classroom; and develop basic skills with the recorder.
 
This course is only taught fall semesters.
