Making an Arapaho Web Site Folder in Windows XP

I. On the Windows XP desktop (opening screen), click the Start button, then click the My Computer button.

II. Click the down arrow on the right side of the Address window. Click on My Network Places.

III. If the My Network Places window doesn't not fill the screen, click the Maximize button (upper right part of the screen).

IV. Click on Add a Network Place. The Add Network Place Wizard appears. On the first window, click Next.

V. Click on Choose Another Network Location, then click Next>.

VI. You will see a dialog box (window) that asks, "What is the address of this network place?"

VII. In the address window, key in ftp://nt-nsu\youruserID:yourpassword@arapaho.nsuok.edu

VIII. The next window will ask you, What do you want to name this place? Key in a name for your site, like My Arapaho.

IX. You should see a screen like the one below. Click Finish.

X. You should see a window showing your Arapaho folder - which may be empty.

XI. Continue with the creation of the web page.
