
Max D. Ellis
Max Ellis is an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Mathematics.
He has a B.S. Degree in
mathematics from
Oklahoma Christian University
located
in the northern part of Oklahoma
City near Edmond.
He received his M.S.Ed. Degree in
mathematics
from the University of Nebraska –
Kearney.
He has taught at Northeastern
State University
since the Fall Semester of
1985.
He has enjoyed teaching a wide
range of courses including:
College Algebra, Trigonometry,
Analytic Geometry, College Geometry, Calculus, Statistical Methods, Probability
and Statistics, and the History of Mathematics. The History of Mathematics is his favorite.
Mr. Ellis’s office is in the
Science Building in room 117.
Max Ellis grew up in Colorado and graduated from
Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Every morning he could look out of the living room
window and see Pikes Peak. Zebulon
Pike first saw this peak from about 150 miles away along the Arkansas River as
he followed the river west toward the Rocky Mountains.
