The Annual Symposium on the American Indian

Each year the Center for Tribal Studies hosts the Annual Symposium on the American Indian, at the local Northeastern State University campus. Held in the month of April, each symposium is given a different cultural theme to denote the historic and contemporary issues of present-day Native Americans. This event serves to enlighten the broader public on American Indian issues, culture, and life. Some of the finer aspects of the symposium include renowned guest speakers, traditional artisans, various native performances, and the inter-tribal powwow.

For more information on this years symposium dates, times, guest speakers, as well as a photo archive of last years powwow please visit The 36th Annual Symposium on the American Indian website.
