Genetics Tutorial

Read This First!

This tutorial allows you to use your knowledge of meiotic cell division to predict the type or types of gamete formed by an organism. By doing so you will greatly improve your understanding of classical genetics.

Before you start you will need to know about chromosomes, sister chromatids, homologous pairs, and meiosis.

Correct use of this tutorial requires that you figure out the answer to each question. If you select the wrong answer, make sure you understand why the answer is wrong before you proceed. If necessary, quit the tutorial and talk to your instructor or study your notes or textbook before coming back and trying again. It may sound inefficient, but you will benefit in the long run. The objective is understanding, not memorization.
