Topic Selection and Audience Analysis

In Chapter 2 of Bly’s book, the importance of choosing a topic is addressed.  Please describe in essay form what topics you could take before an audience and sell yourself as an expert.  Provide evidence and be confident.

Additionally your readings this week focused on audience analysis.  Look at the three presentation assignments for the semester (workshop/classroom, keynote, and training/consulting) and explain to me the audiences you will be addressing in these presentations.   Do a thorough audience analysis (i.e., address demographics, unique challenges, etc.).  Also, explain your experiences with audiences prior to this class.

This assignment is worth 100 points.    Parts of this document may be used in your promotional packet later on in the semester.

This should be typed, double spaced, and in Times New Roman 12 point font with standard 1-inch margins.  Use MLA for formatting and be sure to include a works cited if any sources are cited (including Bly or Jolles).  There are no page limits.  This assignment is due Wednesday, June 8.
