Design a Board Game
Your task is to design a
board game for a specific market (e.g. children or adult) and genre (e.g.
educational or leisure). You will have
30 minutes to present your idea to the class and to teach them the game.
Your presentation should
give the audience a strong feeling for why the target audience should buy your
product. At the conclusion of the
presentation, the members of the class will vote for the game they would most
likely buy. (You cannot vote for your group’s
game). The group receiving the most
votes will have 10 points added to their final score.
This assignment will require
you to meet outside of class. I believe
it is important that as many of you as possible meet in person as often as
needed. How you negotiate that is up to
you. Please think about all that you
have learned about groups as you deliberate.
Remember, the final product should look like synergy occurred. (Take notes during the process, as you will
be critiquing your classmates after the presentation).
Half of the points for this
assignment will come from the presentation; the other half from peer
evaluations. These points will average
into your participation score for the class.
The rubric for the presentation points can be found below. Class will begin at 6:30 next week.
