SCHOOL LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST

For admission, the applicant shall have a master's degree from an accredited college or university.
The applicant shall:

1. Complete and maintain a 3.0 average in the following 20 semester hours:

LIBM 5013, Introduction to Librarianship
LIBM 5023, Advanced Materials for Children
LIBM 5123, Advanced Administration for Library Media Center
LIBM 5313, Advanced Materials for Young Adults
LIBM 5413, Acquisition and Organization of Library Materials
LIBM 5513, Information and Resources and Services
LIBM 5611, Library Media Workshop (Author/Illustrator series)
LIBM 5901, Practicum/Capstone  

2. Pass the state certification test for school library media specialist.

3. A valid teaching certificate or passing of the Oklahoma General Education Test and the Oklahoma Professional Teaching Examination.
